We didn't plan to be distillers, but gin became a happy accident for us. As lovers of this fun and popular spirit with a long tradition, we found inspiration in the challenges of the 2020 vintage. Some wines were fine, but some were smoke affected. After successfully removing the alcohol from our organic wine without any smoke taints, our gin journey began. We sourced organically certified botanicals and conducted 'garage trials' to create our favourite trio selection of gins.

THE PROCESS BEHIND GIN MAKING

One of the attractive things about gin making is that the variety is only limited by imagination, as long as the core juniper berry is used. Our gin making is made on a small scale and is artisanal in nature. We created the brand 'Herding Cats' and introduced the range to our winery members as part of the 2022 Christmas offers, which were well-received. Now, gin has become a part of what we do, and we invite others to be a part of our GIN CLUB. As a member, you will receive the best price on our range of gins all year, with regular 3-pack deliveries available anywhere in Australia without extra freight cost.
