Tasting Notes:
Colour | Deep youthful ruby-purple with a bright violet hue.
Bouquet | Ripe cassis, red currant and dried herbs, gently framed by subtle vanilla and toast from French oak.
Palate | Medium-bodied with bright blueberry and red currant fruit. Silky, fine-grained tannins build gently, finishing with a hint of vanilla-oak sweetness and beautifully balanced freshness. Polished and approachable now, yet structured for ageing.

Pairs well:
Meat | Slow-roasted lamb shoulder studded with garlic and rosemary, served pink with pan juices and a redcurrant glaze with honey-glazed carrots and parsnips.
Seafood | Char-grilled octopus with smoked paprika, black garlic and roasted red pepper romesco.
Vegetarian | Field mushroom and thyme Wellington with a rich red wine jus.
Vegan | Charred eggplant involtini (rolls) filled with walnut-lentil “mince”, baked in a smoky tomato sauce and finished with fresh oregano.
Cheese | Mature cheddar, served with quince paste.
Cellaring | Delicious now, but will reward 5–10 years in a cool, dark place (<15 °C.

Tamburlaine Organic Wine's journey to 'Contemporary Organics' began in the late '90s and continues today. Constantly Striving for Perfection

Tamburlaine Organic Wine has experienced incredible transformation in its vineyards in the Hunter and Orange Regions of NSW through the implementation of contemporary organic thinking. The health of the soils and vines has improved, resulting in consistently high-quality fruit. With a vineyard expansion to approximately 450 hectares and an annual production of around 200,000 cases, Tamburlaine has become a significant player in the wine industry. The high altitude, cool climate conditions, and volcanic soils in Orange have solidified its position as one of Australia's top premium wine regions. The integration of biodynamic methods into their organic management has been shown to enhance soil health, which is now recognized as a key determinant of superior wine quality.
